Configurations

CP indicates the configuration for each pump model.

CP offers its pumps in two configurations: close-coupled (monobloc) or frame-mounted. A close-coupled design is CP’s standard for all magnetic drive pumps, while a frame-mounted design is the EN/ISO standard. Click here to the CP pump catalogue

Close-coupled (CP’s standard)

  • Pump and motor forming a compact unit.
  • Simple design with few components: no bearing frame or driver coupling required.
  • No maintenance required for bearing lubrication and driver coupling.
  • Easy assembly and installation, no alignment required.
  • Saves space.
  • Ideal for stilt-mounting, without a plinth or foundation.
  • Ideal for sealless magnetic drive pumps.
  • Motor can be removed without opening the pump.

Frame-mounted (EN/ISO standard)

  • Pump and motor mounted separately on a baseplate.
  • Bearing frame providing a secondary safety barrier.
  • Coupling to transmit power from the driver to the pump.
  • Separate disassembly of the pump and motor.
  • Easier handling of large pumps and motors.
  • Ideal for operating temperatures above 250°C.
  • Various bearing frame lubrication options available.
  • Standard dimensions to EN 22858, ISO 2858

Mounting Arrangements

Horizontal arrangement

  • Pump and motor forming a compact unit.
  • Simple design with few components: no bearing frame or driver coupling required.
  • No maintenance required for bearing lubrication and driver coupling.
  • Easy assembly and installation, no alignment required.
  • Saves space.
  • Ideal for stilt-mounting, without a plinth or foundation.
  • Ideal for sealless magnetic drive pumps.
  • Motor can be removed without opening the pump.

In the CP pump catalog you will find the CP mounting options for each pump model.
CP offers a variety of mounting options: horizontal, vertical, bracket, centreline support, in-line and sump pump arrangements. Click here to the pump catalogue

Vertical arrangement

  • Saves space.
  • Pump fully drainable through the suction port.
  • No sludge build-up in the pump casing.
  • No imbalance when starting the pump.
  • Ideal for slurries and molten media.
  • Close-coupled or frame-mounted configuration available.

MKP, MKP-Bio

Bracket

  • Extremely versatile installation options (horizontal, vertical, on a wall or overhead).
  • Ideal when space is limited.
  • Excellent pump insulation possibilities.
  • No heat transfer through pump casing feet (in contrast to baseplate mounting).
  • Ideal for pumping heat transfer fluids and coolants.

MKP

Centreline support

  • Construction allowing sealless magnetic drive pumps to be used at high operating temperatures up to 350°C.
  • Ideal for pumping heat transfer fluids.
  • High-temperature pumps equipped with a built-in fan to cool the magnetic coupling and prevent overheating of the bearing frame.
  • High-temperature pumps constructed with centreline support to compensate for dimensional expansion of the pump casing caused by temperature changes.
  • No heat transfer through pump casing feet.

In-line arrangement

  • Suction and discharge flanges located on the same centerline (in-line).
  • Easy assembly and installation.
  • Saves space.
  • Close-coupled drive, with pump and motor forming a compact unit.
  • Simple design with few components: no bearing frame or driver coupling required.
  • No maintenance required for bearing lubrication and driver coupling.
  • Motor can be removed without opening the pump.

Sump pump arrangement

  • Ideal for storage tanks with no bottom drain.
  • Pump available with a sealless magnetic coupling or mechanical shaft seal.
  • Column length up to 4 m.
  • Combinable with an injector to provide a tank unloading system for emptying large tanks.
