The first seal separates the pumped fluid from the sealing liquid, the second one acts as a hermetic seal between the sealing liquid and atmosphere. If one of the two seals leaks, the second one ensures that the material being conveyed does not leak. This design optimised by CP with its own Futuramik® double mechanical seal offers decisive benefits to industries that pump hazardous and corrosive fluids with a high percentage of abrasive solids. This ceramic lined pump with a double mechanical seal on the top shaft stands for ultimate safety.
