High-Level Visit to Swiss Pump Manufacturer

CP Pumpen AG has been a member of Swissmem, the leading association for SMEs and large companies in the Swiss mechanical, electrical and metal (MEM) industries and related technology-oriented sectors, for many years. Within the association, CP Pump Systems assumes responsibility for the promotion of the Swiss pump industry and is involved through its presence in the "Swissmem Industrial Sector Pumps" and via this channel also in Europump, the European interest group for the pump industry.

Thomas Würsch as representative of the owner family and board of directors, Simon Bolliger as CEO and Daniele Nardin, CCO and president of the “Swissmem industrial sector pumps” welcomed Martin Hirzel and Dr. Stefan Brupbacher and gave interesting insights into the production of the high-tech pumps of CP Pump Systems. The founding as a Swiss production company and its philosophy with a central focus on safety, efficiency and sustainability of the manufactured magnetically coupled, sealless centrifugal pumps met with particular interest. Also the fact to incorporate the apprentice for young professionals was highlighted.

Interesting discussions resulted from the challenges Swiss SMEs experience as export companies and the support Swissmem offers its approximately 1,200 member companies. Topics such as free trade agreements, access to the EU market, challenges posed by international trade barriers due to certifications were discussed intensively, as well as the achievements of CLAs and educational opportunities.
