Future chemical and pharmaceutical technologists visited CP Pumpen AG in Zofingen

Last Friday, CP Pumpen AG welcomed 17 apprentices (including 2 young women) in connection with an over-company training project. The students are currently in their 2nd year of apprenticeship as chemical and pharmaceutical technologists. They all complete the theoretical part of their 3-year apprenticeship at the professional school in Aarau, Switzerland.

During a 6-day external course on the subject of pumps, valves, measurement and control technology, they were introduced to the practical side of various companies in the machine industry. This course was organized by Friderich - a company for chemical, fire and safety training - together with the commission for external courses of the chemical and pharmaceutical technologists Aargau.

The group was split up and then guided in rotation to four information points. A presentation gave them an overall picture of the company and a tour at the showroom gave them an overview of CP's pump portfolio. At two further stations in the production plant, the apprentices were shown the assembly of the individual pump components using practical examples and, in addition, the factors that are important during the testing run on the pump test stand were explained. In their individual groups, the apprentices were given the opportunity to ask questions or share experiences.

"The pump is one of the most important production components!", this core message was tangible for all participants after the tour.

For CP Pumpen AG the topic of sustainability and thus the support of young people on their way through life is part of the company philosophy. We were pleased to be able to organize the rounding off of the external course for the prospective chemical and pharmaceutical technologists.
