Diffusion-proof and robust - Magnetically coupled centrifugal pumps made of solid plastic

High-quality products for demanding pumping tasks? Would you expect that from all-plastic pumps? An enormous range of all-plastic pumps is used in industry. After all, materials such as PP or PE are also intended for simple and not particularly challenging tasks and are used accordingly. However, if they are used incorrectly, damage is inevitable and an accident cannot be ruled out.

For demanding pumping tasks for high requirements in the chemical and numerous other industries, higher-quality polymers such as PTFE and PVDF are therefore required as pump materials. The sealless magnetic drive pumps of the CP pump series MSKP, MSKPP and MSKS use these materials and are thus excellently suited for such tasks.

With these highly developed and extraordinarily energy-efficient pumps, liquid, corrosive media of various types can be pumped reliably and absolutely safely, especially when diffusion safety is required.

The pump housing is made of thick, vacuum-resistant, corrosion- and diffusion-resistant solid polymer. The use of PTFE with carbon filler prevents electrostatic charging of the housing. The pumps are alternatively available in virginal PTFE or PVDF. Thanks to the robust and ceramic design of the bearings made of pure SSiC (sintered silicon carbide), high operational reliability is guaranteed for the pumps. Plain and axial bearings are positively locked and self-centring with polygon anti-rotation devices. The various magnetic drive pumps made of PTFE solid polymer include different impeller designs and can therefore be used for a wide range of applications. Depending on the pumping task, the appropriate pump is available

The MSKP covers a range from 0.2 to 140 m3/h and a delivery head of 90 m and can be used between -20°C and +150°C. It has the widest range of applications of all CP full-polymeric pumps, from simple acids to highly diffusing media.

As a self-priming pump, the MSKS can handle up to 25% gas content. Ideally used for unloading tasks of highly corrosive media with a high value. It covers a range of 0.2 to 2.5 m3/h and a delivery head of 34 m and can be used between -20°C and +80°C.

Small volumes and large delivery heads are the main tasks of the MSKPP. It is equipped with a peripheral impeller. Ideally suited for particularly demanding metering and injection tasks with highly corrosive media. The MSKPP covers a range from 0.1 to 8 m3/h and a delivery head of 160 m and can be used between -20°C and +100°C.

In subsequent blogs, we will introduce you to some of the applications of these special full-polymeric pumps made of high-quality PTFE and PVDF. Stay tuned!
